Between the Lines I am : Ongoing is a large, meditative abstract built from layered colour and restless line. Across the square canvas, soft passages of pale blue, grey-green, peach and dusty pink drift and overlap, interrupted by dark, calligraphic strokes and slender trailing lines that dart across the surface. Julie Tugwell hints at blooms and foliage here and there, a flash of yellow, a curl of ochre, without ever settling into anything literal.
The result is quiet but full of activity, like a garden seen through mist or memory.
